Naruto & Pirates of the Caribbean
Request drabbles 2 & 3 - Octavius_X and Gigabomb

Stray 1.5
Kakashi and Sasuke; an expansion of one of the Kakasasu scenes from "Stray part 2." (Which this sort of is, though it's from the beginning.)

Kakashi tells himself that as long as he doesn't let the kid touch him, he still has some control over the situation. And maybe a little ground to stand on. He's still damned legally, but the moral aspect is grayer.

It would be a good plan, he thinks, if Sasuke would stop treating it like a challenge.

On the other hand, Kakashi has to admit that it's made the kid a better fighter. There's never been a place for ethics in Sasuke's style--the Uchiha way--but he's been getting subtler over time. Cleverer; more Machiavellian. Kakashi still catches him every time, but he's learning.

He has Sasuke pinned to the mat he finally caved and bought to avoid scuffing the floor and irritating the neighbors, with one knee on the kid's spine, the other on his wrist, and his left hand twisting Sasuke's other arm behind his back while he zips his pants up with his right. Kakashi didn't notice the kid thumb the button open when he landed a blow to his stomach; he's going to have to start wearing a belt soon. The thought unnerves him, partly because he hates the idea of admitting even such a mild defeat, and partly because the knowledge that Sasuke is getting this good as a result of their sparring makes him almost proud. Which makes him . . . uncomfortable.

"You left your defense wide open with that," Kakashi says dryly, because it helps cover the metallic sound of the zipper. Sasuke's response is to sneer at him and try to twist his wrist free again.

Kakashi is tempted to point out that baring your teeth at a man is not a good way to convince him to let you suck him, but he's really trying not to encourage the kid.

Seriously, hands out of my pants.

The Deepest Cut
Jack Sparrow and Cutler Beckett; "Why yes, our backstory is even more complicated than alluded to in the movies."

When Sparrow is branded, his expression barely changes. Only a temporary grimace, nearly theatrical itself, replaces his air of confidence--the confidence of a man who has walked out of far worse while being quite a bit less sober than his current state of affairs has forced. Cutler stands a short distance away to watch, making sure to keep upwind to avoid the smell of charred flesh.

When they sink the Black Pearl, it takes three men to keep Sparrow from reaching him. No one is certain where he got the knife from. Cutler releases all the current guards from their positions once Sparrow is back in gaol, now with an additional head wound, and has them replaced with new ones who are instructed to stand farther away from the pirate at all times.

He thinks of the expression on Sparrow's face as the men hauled him back, and smiles to himself as he slides into bed that night.

The next morning, he receives the news that Sparrow's cell is empty. No one is certain how he got out.

Cutler releases the new guards from their positions, denying them letters of recommendation, and spends the rest of the day away from the windows. He begins sleeping with arms: a pistol underneath one pillow, a coil of rope under the other--the latter for reasons he never quite details to himself but which have everything to do with that last look Sparrow gave him.

He lives this way until six months later, when the first reports begin to arrive of a black-sailed pirate ship that looks exactly the same as the Pearl, minus the shattered hull and fathoms of water. No one knows how Sparrow did it; Cutler does not automatically reject the more outlandish theories.

Somehow, Sparrow brought his ship back. This man, who has all the reliability of a hurricane, dedicated himself so thoroughly to this task that he achieved something which can only logically be explained with illogic; and in the process, he rejected Cutler as something not worth revenge, notice, or even thought.

Days . . . weeks, months, years later, when his mind wanders and that thought returns to him, Cutler's hands yet again shake so badly with rage that he has to press them against his desk or mattress until he can calm himself.

"We've both left our mark on each other."

Ahahah... Beckett is so fucked up. Also in denial. I mean, honestly, only he would be offended that Jack doesn't try to off him. This was awesome.

I think I started to love Beckett a little when I realized everything that happened in the last two movies was directly the result of his doing. That's just kind of badass, in a supervillain way.

*grin* Glad you liked it!

Beginning or not, your Kakashi is the best. Just in the way he's methodical and his grey justifications. I particularly like this:

You left your defense wide open with that," Kakashi says dryly, because it helps cover the metallic sound of the zipper.

Brilliant as usual. Thank you!

Heeee, I'm glad you liked it. I felt a little guilty skipping to your alternate request without even at least mentioning it, but the idea hit me fast.
